Section and Detail Marks

Using Scadd Draft section and detail marks can save a lot of time.  The Section Mark toolbar is very handy for picking a quick section on the fly.  Section, Detail, Plan and Title Marks can be modify through Scadd Draft's Control Panel.  To access the toolbar click on the View menu and then click on toolbars.  Select the Annotate - Symbol toolbar from the SCADD menu group.  The following will appear:

Each flyout contains different symbols used for annotation of your drawing.  The Section and Detail Marks are designated with the circle arrow and the letter "S" or "D" respectively.  The plan detail mark is shown.  Below the plan detail mark button is the Section Title and Detail Title and finally a Plan Title.

Plan Title Reference

When using the plan title, try the Reference option at the command line by typing "R" when prompted for the center point.  You can reference the center of the title to another title so they will "line up."

Section Memory

The section, detail and plan detail bubbles will default to the last used letter or number.  Therefore if cutting multiple sections, try cutting one with the same reference letter.

Using Groups

All the Section Mark Annotation use groups, therefore if moving and /or copying section marks have groups turned on (Cntr-A or Cntr-Shift-A) and you can select the entire mark with one click.
