Square Column

To draw a concrete square or rectangular column, under the Conc menu item select Square Column.  The following dialog box will appear.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Favorites:

Keep a list of frequently used shapes in the Favorites list.

To add a shape to the favorites list:

  1. Highlight the size of the shape you wish to add in the size list.

  2. Click on the <- button underneath the favorites list.

To remove a shape from the favorites list:

  1. Highlight the size of the shape you wish to remove from  the favorites list.

  2. Click on the -> button underneath the favorites list.

Tip: you can start drawing the shape in the favorites list by double-clicking on the shape.

Size:

List of sizes in the current shape list library. To select and start drawing the shape, click on the shape in the size list then click on OK.  Follow the instructions at the command prompt.

Vert:

Select the size of vertical reinforcing in the column.

Num:

Select the number of vertical bars in the column.

Ties:

Select the size of the lateral reinforcement.

Clear:

Select the clear distance from the outside face of the column to lateral reinforcement (ties).

Width and Length:

Choose a custom width and length for the column.  Width and length correspond to the orientation shown on the icon labeled W and L respectively.
