Footing Schedule

The Footing schedule is  a powerful tool that enables the user to set up a schedule for spread footings which will maintain and keep track of the different footing types.  From the Scadd footing scheduler, you can insert the different type footings and/or create a footing schedule.  To access the Scadd Footing Scheduler, click on the Plan menu then click on Footing Schedule.  The following dialog box will appear.

Initially, the footing schedule will not have any footing types defined.  Either the user must add footing types individually or load a previously saved list of footing types.  For more information on individual buttons, see below.

Save:

Click on this button if you wish to save the current list of footing types as your default list to load in other drawings.

Load:

Click on this button if you wish to load the previously saved default list as indicated above.  Scadd Draft includes a factory default list as an example footing schedule list.  Please modify list so as to meet your specific design requirements.

Add:

Click on this button to add a footing type to the schedule.

Modify:

Highlight an individual footing type and then click on this button to modify the footing type parameters.

Remove:

Highlight an individual footing type and then click on this button to remove the footing type from the schedule.

Note: Removing the footing type from the schedule will not remove the footing from the drawing.  In order to permanently remove a footing type from the schedule, all footings of that type must be erased from the drawing.

Insert:

Highlight an individual footing type and then click on this button to insert the footing type into the drawing.  Follow the instructions on the command line prompt.

Tip: Double-clicking on a footing type will also insert the selected footing.

Create/Update Footing Schedule:

If this check boxed is enabled (checked) then the Scadd footing scheduler will automatically create or update and existing footing schedule for all the footings placed in the drawing.  After Scadd Draft creates the footing schedule, it waits for the user to select where to place the schedule.  When updating an existing schedule, Scadd Draft automatically searches for the schedule and updates it as required.

Level:

This drop-down box allows the user to set which level to use as a reference for the top of the footing.  The bottom of footing elevation  will be calculated by the elevation of the reference level minus the thickness of the footing. If no levels exist in the drawing, then the drop-down box will only contain the "None" level (or no levels). For more information on creating levels in your drawing, see Scadd's Level Manager.
