The Scadd Draft timber Library contains common types of timber shapes. To access one of the the timber dialog boxes, click on the Wood menu, then click on the desired timber shape. The following dialog box will appear if the PSL shape is selected.
This dialog box allows you to draw PSL shapes from three view points, three insert points as well as hatching and a Hanger option.
Keep a list of frequently used shapes in the Favorites list.
To add a shape to the favorites list:
Highlight the size of the shape you wish to add in the size list.
Click on the <- button underneath the favorites list.
To remove a shape from the favorites list:
Highlight the size of the shape you wish to remove from the favorites list.
Click on the -> button underneath the favorites list.
Tip: you can start drawing the shape in the favorites list by double-clicking on the shape.

Section: Draws a section of the shape.
Top: Draws the top view of the shape.
Side: Draws the side view of the shape.
Note: Different options will enable and/or disable depending on the view point selected.
Top: Draws the shape with the top as the insertion point when placing object into drawing.
Center: Draws the shape with the center as the insertion point when placing object into drawing.
Bottom: Draws the shape with the bottom as the insertion point when placing object into drawing.
Hatch: (section view only)
On - Draw steel hatching.
Off - Omit steel hatching.
Hanger:
On - Draws a Joist hanger for the selected shape.
Off - Omits joist hanger for selected shape.
